On Wednesday evening, @WolvesFC_Latest posed the question to fans over which opposition player they ‘really don’t like’, which had many mentioning the retired forward.

Would Lee Hughes have been your choice if you were answering the question?Yes, not keen on himNo, I have another |
The 43-year-old had two stints with the Baggies, firstly between 1997 and 2001, then between 2002 and 2004 (per Transfermarkt).
Hughes left Wolves’ rivals for the second time when his contract was terminated after causing death by dangerous driving and spending three years in prison, before being released and going on to play for 13 different football clubs since 2007 (per Transfermarkt).

What do we think?
While there were many names put forward by Wolves fans, Hughes’ was one that continuously popped up, leaving the supporters’ feelings on the retired striker in no doubt.
The suggestion seems likely due to the period that Hughes spent in prison, he has since admitted, though, that “it was the biggest mistake” of his life, he thinks about it “all the time” and that prison “traumatised” him (per Birmingham Live).
