Supporters of West Ham United have been reacting to a report on Robert Snodgrass which stated he will remain with the club for two more seasons.
According to Claret and Hugh, with David Moyes in charge of the Hammers, the Scottish winger will remain at the club for ‘another two years at least’ as Moyes is a ‘huge admirer’ of the 32-year-old (via @WHUFCFZ), which some fans were delighted with.
Robert Snodgrass is set to remain at West Ham for at least another two years, following the return of David Moyes.
Moyes is a huge admirer of the 32-year-old, who has a year left on his current deal and another year’s option in the club’s favour.

If the season does resume he will be pivotal to our promotion push next season.

Unsure as to why several West Ham fans are disgruntled at the fact Snodgrass will remain at West Ham for the next two seasons – always one of the best work rates when he plays, his set piece delivery is much improved and he is in good form. Snodgrass is a solid squad player.

His legs will be gone in a year. Great performances so far this year.

If West Ham had to activate the year extension in Robert Snodgrass' contract now or never, what would you do?Now, he's a useful playerNever, he's not worth it |
The winger’s contract with the Irons is due to expire at the end of next season (per Transfermarkt), with the report from Claret and Hugh stating that the optional extra year in his contract is ‘in the club’s favour’.
However, while some supporters were pleased that Snodgrass could be set to stay for two further seasons, other fans were not as delighted with the possible extension.
Says it all doesn’t it

I love Snoddy we just triggers an ext not long ago so tbh I’d wait before triggering another bc not going anywhere. He has been great on & off the pitch keep him & take a hit on Yarmolenko I’d take £4-5m, Masuaku etc.
Great sqaud player mentor but wouldn’t rush extension

What do we think?
So far this season, Snodgrass has been the sixth-best performer for the Hammers in the Premier League with a 6.79/10 average rating (per WhoScored), which may explain some fans’ delight.
With five goals and five assists in 24 Premier League appearances (per WhoScored), the Scotsman has certainly contributed. However, as one fan suggested, there is no rush to activate the contract extension.
