Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments made by goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying comments made by the Spaniard in a recent Instagram Live session (as per Daily Mirror).
Reina revealed that after his loan spell at Villa ends, he will return to AC Milan where he expects to end his career in the next year or two.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their thoughts on Reina’s revelation.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Pepe Reina: “After the loan spell with Aston Villa, I have to go back (to AC Milan). I think it will be tough. I have 1-2 years left in my career. I think my time in football will end after next year in Milan.” #avfc

Pepe made some great saves but also showed poor judgement at key times so, we move on. #UTV

Who would you start in goal for the remaining PL games?
Pepe Reina
Orjan Nyland
The former Liverpool shot-stopper was signed on a loan deal until the end of the season from AC Milan in the January transfer window to replace the injured Tom Heaton. In six Premier League appearances for Villa since his arrival, Reina has managed to concede 13 goals and fail to keep any clean sheets (per Transfermarkt).
Now that Reina has come out and revealed he will not be continuing at Villa after his current loan deal expires, this sparked a big reaction from Villa supporters on Twitter.
Well that’s him off then

What do we think?
It seems that these Villa fans would not miss Reina when he leaves the club at the end of the season. Looking at his record for the club in his handful of appearances, it’s understandable why they would feel this way.
