Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a report which has stated Premier League clubs’ thoughts on the remainder of the season.
According to The Guardian, clubs in England’s top flight are worried about the ‘feasibility’ of playing matches behind closed doors and they ‘are actively discussing the possibility of bringing the season to an early end’ (via @WHUFCFZ). Many West Ham fans reacted to this news.
Premier League clubs are worried there will be too many hurdles to overcome even if matches are played behind closed doors, and are now in talks about cancelling the season.

Of the two options, what would be your preferred choice?Behind closed doorsNull and void it |
According to the report, while the Premier League has the intention to return when it is ‘safe and appropriate’, clubs are informally discussing ‘hurdles’ and the idea that those ‘challenges will soon become too great’.
So, after the report was shared to social media by @WHUFCFZ, supporters of the Hammers continued airing their reactions.
It’s the most sensible thing to do

Cancelling the season has to be the logical solution. Let everyone know where they stand in the short term. Clubs can then at least start planning for next season

What do we think?
As can be seen in these responses from the London Stadium faithful, many of them would support a decision to cancel the season where it currently is.
Officially, the current stance is that play will resume in the Premier League when it is safe to do so and that clubs are committed to finishing the season (per BBC).
