Supporters of West Ham United have been airing their fury over a report on a possible option for how the season will finish.

According to The Telegraph, Bundesliga clubs are debating if relegation should be scrapped and the Premier League is closely monitoring the situation with a view to following the same approach (via @whufc_news), which had West Ham fans unhappy.

Against, what is the point?

The current stance of the Premier League is that games are suspended until it is ‘safe to resume play’ (per Sky) and the clubs remain committed to playing the remaining 92 fixtures (per BBC).

However, while a number of ideas on how to bring the season to a conclusion have been discussed, there is not yet a clear way forward as ‘all dates are tentative’ (per BBC). West Ham fans did not like the latest supposed idea, though.

What do we think?

As can be seen in the responses from West Ham supporters, they believe that there would be little point in resuming play if relegation was scrapped, except for financial purposes.

With a number of potential avenues having already been touted (per BBC), however, it appears that whatever is decided will not appease everyone and the only thing that is really clear is that whatever decision is made it will have been a difficult one.
