Supporters of West Ham United have been discussing Jack Wilshere after a tweet labelled him as the ‘perfect midfielder’ if he was injury-free.
According to @westhamtransfers, if the former Arsenal man was not ‘injury-prone’ he would be the ‘perfect midfielder’, which had lots of fans discussing the 28-year-old.
I really wish Jack Wilshere wasn’t injury prone. Would have the perfect midfielder

He’d be at Barca/a top side without injury

Crocked is the only word to describe him. 27 years old but he seems like he’s 35. It’s a shame, another bit of bad business by us.

He’s be running the England midfield if he wasn’t

He’s class, I saw him at 16 in the Emirates Cup and thought this kid will be unreal, pity about his injures but if he never got them he wouldn’t be ar our club, hopefully he can overcome them and be back to what he should of been

Would Jack Wilshere have been a world-class midfielder if he avoided injuries?Yes, would have been qualityNo, would still not be very good |
According to Transfermarkt, the English midfielder has missed 211 games with 16 different injuries throughout his career, the longest of which was for 247 days with a hairline crack in a calfbone.
Despite having been with the Hammers since the summer of 2018, Wilshere has made just 16 appearances (per Transfermarkt), however, fans do not doubt his abilities.
Your right but If he weren’t injury prone he’d be at Real Madrid or Barcelona

Similar story with Carrol, whenever he had a run of half a dozen games he would look class.

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses, it is clear to see that many West Ham supporters feel that Wilshere would be a far better player if he had been able to avoid injuries throughout his career.
However, when the midfielder has been fit for the Hammers this season, he has been the second-worst performing player for the club in the Premier League with a 5.99/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
