Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer news on reported target Thomas Meunier, with the latest reports from The Athletic journalist Charlie Eccleshare suggesting he is unlikely to join.
It had been suggested in recent weeks that Spurs were amongst the favourites to sign the Belgian international from PSG on a free transfer ahead of next season, with L’Equipe (via GFFN) even going so far as to suggest that Jose Mourinho has been in regular contact with the right-back about his possible signing. However, in an episode of The View from the Lane podcast from The Athletic, Eccleshare has now suggested that he is unlikely to join the Lilywhites this summer.
Daily Hotspur has since shared this news with fans on Twitter, which has attracted the attention of plenty of supporters of the North London club, many of whom were quick to have their say on the matter.

These Spurs fans seem relieved that they apparently won’t be signing Meunier in the summer transfer window, with many seeming to prefer Norwich City’s Max Aarons.

Considering Meunier would be available on a free this summer when his contract with PSG expires, it seems strange that so many Spurs fans weren’t keen on his signature.
