Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing reported transfer target Baptiste Santamaria after it was confirmed that the Frenchman will leave Angers SCO this summer.
The defensive midfielder’s agent Yves le Mee spoke to Radio Marte, as per Gonfia la Rete, saying: “In the next transfer market, we have the word of the president that we will be allowed to leave.” Spurs were originally linked with the midfielder by the Daily Express earlier in April, with the report suggesting that Spurs have been to watch the midfielder on several occasions this season.
So far this season, the 25-year-old has impressed in his performances in Ligue 1, having averaged a 7.10 rating across his 28 appearances in the French top-flight (per Whoscored).

Problem is we have an abundance of no.8’s at the minute, which someone will need to leave to accommodate him. It’s poor recruiting. Winks is filling in, but realistically he is an 8, as well as Ndombele, GLC & Gedson. We’d need to sell Dier & loan out Skipp.
