Spurs fans have been discussing the future of Juan Foyth after it was reported that the 22-year-old may seek a move away from the north London club this summer.
In an interview with Argentine radio station TNT, with quotes relayed by Sport Witness, the defender admitted that he could well leave Jose Mourinho’s side ahead of next season. He said: “If they won’t count on me, the best thing will be to find another club. I would like to stay in Europe, all leagues have a high level.”
So far this season, the former Estudiantes man has featured just seven times, with his last appearance coming in the 2-2 draw with Norwich City, where a disastrous performance saw him substituted at half time. The Argentinian international joined Spurs back in 2017 but has just 32 appearances to his name, so it is no surprise to see him keen on a move away.
Would you loan or sell Foyth?
Loan, he's got potential
Sell, he's not good enough
Reaction from Spurs fans to the quotes from Foyth can be seen in the tweets below.
Needs a loan. Top potential but costs us with too many mistakes

He’s a good player. We deffo shouldn’t sell. 100% loan needed.

He’s got potential. Would be foolish to let him leave

Completely agree. A player of his age needs game time week in week out in the first team. Sadly however he clearly isn’t our level and lacks physicality of a premier league centre back mixed with mistakes. Will never get past jan, toby, sanchez and now tanganga

Not really sure what Foyth has done wrong. Was showing a lot of promise when Poch was here.

These Spurs fans seem to think that Foyth is good enough to stay and perhaps needs a loan move to aid his development.
What do we think?
Spurs would perhaps be foolish to let Foyth leave considering he has 10 Argentina caps to his name despite being just 22 years old, so maybe a loan move would give him the opportunity to play regular football without Spurs potentially losing him permanently.
