Spurs fans have been discussing some old quotes from Harry Kane on Twitter.
COYS.com’s Twitter account shared some of Kane’s quotes from an interview that he conducted back in 2017 after it was recently shared by Football Daily. In this interview, the striker admitted that: “In three years time, if I haven’t won a few trophies it will be disappointing.” Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, we are now three years on and the North London club are still without a trophy since 2008, although they came close by reaching the Champions League final last season; losing that game 2-0 against Liverpool in Madrid.
There have been a lot of reports linking the Englishman with a move away from the club this summer, with the Daily Mail suggesting that Manchester United could even bid £200 million for the striker and now that these old quotes have emerged, it would perhaps not be a surprise to see him keen to move on in the near future.
Do you think Kane will ever win a trophy with Spurs?
Yes

An ambitious owner would have provided the 2/3 additions to bolster the squad and there in lies the problem…..always has been and always will be

@SpursOfficial He is so close to leaving. If The board don’t get their finger out and back jose we are going further down then we already have. This guy bleeds spurs and for you to make him question this when we were so close 4 years ago is disgusting.

Needed a top draw manager, that’s squad was good enough to win trophies. Pochettino as much to blame as Levy.

He should have told poch and the board this back in the season we finished second! Poch should have relayed this message to levy!

That squad was good enough to win trophies without additions.

These Spurs fans are clearly not too happy to be reminded of Kane’s quotes from 2017, with many suggesting that their squad back then was more than good enough to have been winning trophies.
What do we think?
Whether you love or hate Jose Mourinho, there is no denying that he is a serial winner and you imagine that given time he will be able to deliver Spurs and Harry Kane the trophy they desire.
