A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford after he took to Instagram to pay tribute to those who sadly lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster. Wednesday marked the 31st anniversary of the tragic incident and in response to Joe Gomez’s Instagram post, Rashford commented with a love heart.
@LFCVik shared a screenshot on Twitter capturing the England forward’s reply and posted it with a caption praising the 22-year-old despite the bitter rivalry between the two clubs.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful responded to the post.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool fans have been moved by Marcus Rashford’s actions. The United striker has scored an impressive 14 goals in the Premier League so far this season, one of which came versus the Reds in the fixture between the two clubs at Old Trafford back in October (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
However, when remembering that tragic day, tribalism takes a back seat.
