What do we think?
The reported actions of Rose are certainly heartwarming in the current climate, while also being quite timely, following Matt Hancock’s controversial call for Premier League players to take a pay-cut.
The health secretary stated that footballers should “take a pay cut and play their part” in helping the country through these current uncertain times, and has since come under staunch criticism for his remarks, as several footballers have been donating heavily to public services such as the NHS.
Regardless of whether Rose’s actions are in relation to these remarks, his actions have clearly pleased Spurs fans, and so they should.
