Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour linking them with a move for Olympiakos left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas, although they could face competition from Liverpool, Arsenal and Leicester City.

According to Greek news outlet Sdna.gr (via TranSPURS), the North London club are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring the 23-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window. So far this season the defender has impressed in his performances in the Champions League; averaging a superb 7.22 rating.

What is former Spurs defender Sol Campbell's real first name?

The defender played in both group stage matches against Tottenham this season; earning a 7.21 rating for his performance in the 2-2 draw and a less impressive 6.76 rating for his display in the 4-2 loss. With Danny Rose having joined Newcastle United on loan in the January transfer window, it is perhaps no surprise to see Spurs eyeing up a left-back ahead of next season.

Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported interest in Tsimikas can be seen in the tweets below.

These Spurs fans seem to have been impressed by the left-back when he played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in November last year and would welcome a move for him this summer.

What do we think?

The 23-year-old is currently valued at £3.15 million by Transfermarkt and he could well represent an excellent long-term replacement for Rose; who at this point looks unlikely to play for Spurs again.
