Spurs fans have been discussing Marc Cucurella on Twitter after it was reported that the north London club have advanced their interest in the Barcelona full-back.
According to Spanish news outlet Estadio Deportivo (via The Spurs Web), the Lilywhites are keen to recruit the 21-year-old left-back this summer. The Spanish U21 international has spent this season on loan with Getafe in La Liga and has impressed in his performances this season, averaging a 6.92 rating in the Spanish top flight.
The young midfielder, who has also featured in a more defensive role at times this year, is currently valued at £16.2 million by Transfermarkt and looks set to re-join Barcelona in the summer when his loan expires unless Getafe exercise their option to buy the defender, and Spurs could well be the team to capitalise should Getafe pass up the chance to sign him permanently.

It seems as if Getafe have the option to buy Cucurella from Barcelona, so it will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho’s side can beat them to it and convince the Spanish youngster to make the move to the Premier League.
