Fans of Newcastle have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays comments made by Richard Keys regarding the club’s proposed takeover.
Following the recent developments in Newcastle’s proposed takeover, footage subsequently emerged of Richard Keys claiming: “I wish it was another club. I just wish it wasn’t Newcastle United that the Saudis wanted to buy.”
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed on Twitter by NUFC 360, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that Keys’ comments prove that he has an agenda against the club, while others have stated that Keys talking about principles is extremely ironic.

What do we think?
Some of the Newcastle fans appear to have taken Keys’ opinion as proof of him having an agenda against the club, and, in all honesty, is it hard to argue that a truly neutral journalist would have made the same comments.
In any case, it seems that some of the fans have seen the funny side of the comments, with many pointing out and laughing at the irony of Keys’ remarks, based on the presenter’s own chequered history.
