Some footage of Iain Dowie discussing the Saudi-backed Newcastle United takeover which is reportedly in the works, recently caught the attention of many Magpies fans on Twitter. 

Steve Wraith, who is a well known “avid fan of Newcastle United”, recently shared some footage of Dowie discussing this reported takeover of the Magpies, on Sky Sports, via a tweet. 

As per talkSPORT, Newcastle United would allegedly become the Premier League’s wealthiest club should the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia complete a takeover of the club. This group allegedly “have assets worth around £260 billion”. 

This footage of former Newcastle assistant manager Dowie, which was originally broadcast via Sky Sports, shows the 55-year-old speaking positively about this takeover, stating that the potential for the club “is limitless”, should this takeover be completed.

Considering that current Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has been an unpopular figure throughout his tenure at St. James’ Park, it may be understandable why the prospect of this takeover has excited many Magpies supporters. 

Furthermore, considering that some Newcastle fans have been excited by this takeover news, it may be understandable why some Magpies fans have been responding positively to this footage of Dowie sharing some positive thoughts regarding the future of the club under these new potential owners.
