A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed a post made by Middle East sports Twitter page @aawsat_spt that claims that Nasser Al-Khelaifi will undergo trial in Switzerland in September for a corruption case related to broadcasting rights.
This comes not long after Qatari-owned BeIN Sports sent a letter to the Premier League, urging them to block Newcastle’s takeover by a Saudi-backed consortium because of piracy in Saudi Arabia.
However, it looks like it will be Al-Khelaifi, who is the boss of BeIN, that will be scrutinised for corruption and not the Saudis.
This has delighted these Toon fans who are, in particular, targeting Richard Keys.

What do we think?
Keys has been against this takeover from the start and even claimed that he wished that it wasn’t Newcastle who the Saudis wanted to buy. (6:48)
He then tweeted about the morals of piracy only for someone he works for to be going on trial for corruption related to broadcasting rights.
It is fair to say that this has delighted these Toon fans who are happy to mock Keys.
