A tweet that was recently posted by loaned out Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has caught the attention of many Magpies supporters.

One Newcastle fan recently shared footage of Aarons in action for the Magpies against Manchester City via a tweet. This fan states that the 24-year-old’s career at St. James’ Park could’ve turned out differently had he scored from an attempt at goal which he can be seen making in this footage.

This tweet caught the attention of Aarons himself, who responded by stating that his career “will still be great” via a tweet of his own. Many Magpies supporters have subsequently flocked to Aarons’ tweet to share some positivity for the 24-year-old winger who is currently on loan at Motherwell, with one Newcastle fan stating that the player “should have 100 appearances” for the club.

To kick things off, which season is this kit from?

Do you think that Rolando Aarons will make it at Newcastle United?

YES, HE HAS ALL THE TALENT TO SUCCEED

NO, HE'S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH

What do we think?

Aarons came up through Newcastle United’s youth academy, having originally joined the club’s under-18 side in July 2012, as per Transfermarkt.co.uk. The winger has made just 27 first-team appearances for the Magpies thus far in his career, which are spread out over four separate seasons. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Newcastle fans may feel that Aarons hasn’t received too many opportunities at St. James’ Park.

It may be fair to say that the 24-year-old winger displays some confidence in his recent tweet by stating that his career “will still be great”, despite not making much of an impact at Newcastle United thus far. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Newcastle fans have reacted positively to this tweet.
