Fans of Newcastle have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which highlights footage from an interview with Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles.
In the footage, which was posted by @simplyMaximin on Twitter, Lascelles is being interviewed on Instagram, when a comment appears on screen that reads “blink if the takeover is happening,” before the 26-year-old appears to read the comment and blink.
In reaction to the footage, fans of the club have flocked to Twitter to have their say, with many claiming that the blink regarding Newcastle’s proposed takeover was indeed intended by Lascelles, while others have claimed that the centre-back also appeared to nod after reading the comment.
Do you think Newcastle's takeover will go through?

Ok I thought the face rub could have been a coincidence but that is an absolute conscious forced blink after clearly reading something. It’s happening!!!! #cans

What do we think?
While it is likely that Lascelles would have had to blink sooner or later during the interview, it is difficult to argue against the fact it very much looks as if the player reads the comment before blinking.
However, this is not to say that the blink was not simply just pure coincidence, or indeed whether Lascelles knows any more than the general public regarding Newcastle’s proposed takeover, however, neither of these facts appear to matter to Newcastle fans, who, from their comments, are convinced that the deal will get the go-ahead.
