A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from their club about a video that Jamie Sterry is doing for his Instagram.
However, it is clear from the replies that a lot of Toon fans thought that this was the announcement that the proposed takeover of their club was complete.
Jim White offered an update on TalkSPORT and confirmed that the deal was pretty much done and that it was now down to the Premier League to approve it or not.
Therefore, when these Newcastle fans saw that their club had tweeted, they assumed that it was to announce the sale of the club.
Do you think the club did this on purpose?
Yes

What do we think?
It looks like Mike Ashley’s time as owner of Newcastle is coming to an end, and in his place, there will be Amanda Staveley’s PCP, the Reuben Brothers and the majority shareholder PIF.
PIF are rumoured to be worth £260bn, so it is not like the Toon will be short of cash.
If this gets done, then there could be an exciting future ahead for Newcastle supporters.
