A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360 relaying a transfer story from the Evening Chronicle.
The Chronicle believes that Steve Bruce wants to turn Nabil Bentaleb’s loan move from FC Schalke into a permanent one in the summer.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder joined the Toon in January and has made six appearances in all competitions, but judging by these responses, not many Newcastle fans want him to be at the club next season.
Do you want to sign Bentaleb permanently?

He’s been poor. Understand he hadn’t played much prior, but hasn’t improved the side and looked well off the pace.

What do we think?
Bentaleb, who is valued at £3.6m by Transfermarkt, has achieved an average rating of 6.68 in the league – only making him Newcastle’s 13th-best performing player.
However, if the report in the Chronicle is true, then Bruce is keen to keep Bentaleb on Tyneside for longer than his loan agreement.
Although some fans think he has struggled so far, if he could find his form from the 2016/17 season, where he scored seven goals and provided five assists for Schalke, then maybe he could be a good addition for the Toon.
