A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes made about the Toon’s proposed takeover from The Guardian.
They claim that the Premier League are nearly two weeks into the checks on the takeover, and no red flags have been raised and that those close to the deal believe that the acquisition is now unstoppable.
This comes after a letter was sent by Amnesty International to the Premier League, asking them to reconsider approving the Toon’s takeover by a joint consortium of Amanda Staveley’s PCP, Saudi Arabia’s PIF, and the Reuben brothers.
The report also claims that neither the Premier League or Newcastle are prepared to comment on this takeover and that the checks are expected to be completed within the next two weeks.
Do you think this letter from Amnesty International will have any impact?
Yes, could ruin the takeover
No, it won't do anything
This report from The Guardian has gone down well with these Newcastle fans who seem confident the takeover will be approved.
Almost a fortnight into the PL’s mandatory checks, it is understood no “red flags” have been raised. Indeed, those close to the deal believe the takeover is now unstoppable. #NUFC [Guardian]

What do we think?
This letter from Amnesty International should be considered as it raises some important issues.
However, if those close to the deal believe it won’t have any impact, then we don’t think Newcastle fans have anything to worry about on that front.
