Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
This is brilliant from Wes Edens. Claims he is 'impatient' and wants Villa in the top-four very soon. #avfc https://t.co/viK5ctd738

Nothing new that was the 5yr plan when they took over, and promotion last season put Villa a yr in front of schedule, but as he says Premier League survival is paramount to the journey that they are bank rolling.

Get rid of Smith then, going nowhere but down with him

Love his ambition but I feel we need to address our recruitment. Some of our signings this season are not at the required standard.

What is Villa's biggest issue at the moment?
The players
The management
The board
In Villa’s first season back in the Premier League, Dean Smith’s side have won just seven out of a possible 28 matches, resulting in them currently sitting in 19th position in the relegation zone. Villa also currently have the worst defensive record in the Premier League having conceded 56 goals, more than any other team this season (per BBC Sport). Now that Edens has come out and shared his ambitions and hopes for the club in the near future, this has gathered a big reaction from Villa fans on Twitter.
Need to get out the bottom 3 first ?????

I like his ambition but feel Top 4 of the championship next season ( if it ever starts) is more realistic atm lol

Hope his patience doesn’t run out then. We are probably a decade away at best.

What do we think?
It’s good that Edens wants Villa to do well and is keeping up to date with their progress this season. But looking at their results in the Premier League this season, the club has some work to do before they can reach the levels Edens is looking for.
