A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFCThreatLevel showing a wonderful Hatem Ben Arfa goal.
On 9th April 2012, Newcastle beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in a win that moved them level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, but it was the incredible solo goal from Ben Arfa that will always be remembered.
The Frenchman received the ball from Yohan Cabaye and produced a superb turn that took him away from one Bolton player (0:36) before he raced towards goal past a desperate sliding challenge. (0:40)
This opened up the way for Ben Arfa to dink the ball in between Bolton’s two centre-backs and then calmly roll his shot past Adam Bogdan to spark wild scenes at St. James’ Park. (0:42)
This tweet showing the goal has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are discussing both the goal and Ben Arfa.
Was this Ben Arfa's best goal for Newcastle?

Ben Arfa, on his day, was one of the rare shining lights of this dismal Mike Ashley era. Can’t think of too many other players who could have scored that goal.

I was right behind that! He ran in an almost perfectly straight line. The little dunk to beat Wheater before the finish was perfect.

What do we think?
The Frenchman scored some special goals for Newcastle, but this was undoubtedly one of his best as he showed pace, skill and composure to leave a whole team behind him.
This was definitely Ben Arfa at the peak of his powers, and it is no surprise to see many Newcastle fans drooling over him.
