A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed quotes from Darren Lewis’ piece in the Daily Mirror.
He claims that once the proposed takeover of Newcastle United is completed, the new owners have identified Mauricio Pochettino as their number one target.
This has drawn a huge reaction from many Newcastle fans who are excited about this news.

What do we think?
Pochettino is widely considered to be an excellent manager, and while he did not win anything in his time with Spurs, he did transform them.
The club sacked the Argentine in November after a poor start to the season, but in his time with Spurs, he won 160 of his 293 matches and guided them to the Champions League final.
If this takeover happens, then bringing in Pochettino could be an inspired move by the new owners.
However, none of this can happen until the deal is confirmed, but if Lewis’ report is true, then it is good to see that the potential owners are ambitious.
