What do we think?
While it is reported that Pep Guardiola would like two new centre-backs over the next transfer window, it is not difficult to see why, as City have already conceded more goals this season (31) than they did in their previous two campaigns (23 and 27 respectively).
While interest is high in Dayot Upamecano, from his average WhoScored match rating of 7.23 over 21 games in the Bundesliga, it is not surprising. And with a reported release clause of just £52.5 million, Pep Guardiola may have to fight off the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and several Spanish clubs should he wish to land the 21-year-old this summer.
