A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing Bernardo Silva’s recent comments, in which he suggests that the Anfield club receive biased treatment when it comes to earning individual awards.
Silva’s comments were made to Bleacher Report (reported via Daily Mirror) and here is how some of the Reds faithful have responded on Twitter.
He can suggest whatever he likes, Mo Salah won 37 individual awards that season, in the end it wasn’t a contest for the PFA Player of the Year

Most arrogant and entitled team I’ve ever seen. Heads have fallen off because they can’t stand being that far behind us ?

We’re top of the league. Don’t get there with poor performances and poor players.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool fans have been less than impressed by the Portuguese international’s remarks. He suggested that in City’s title-winning 2017/18 campaign, Kevin De Bruyne deserved to win the Player of the Year award ahead of Mohamed Salah and that Raheem Sterling was a more worthy winner than Virgil van Dijk last season (via Daily Mirror).
Liverpool were just two wins away from being crowned the Premier League champions when the season was suspended last month due to the recent viral outbreak. According to the Manchester City star, that means it’s almost a certainty one of the Reds’ stars will be named the player of the year for the 2019/20 season.
