Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer update surrounding RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool-focused Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Dean Jones in a recent transfer Q&A for Bleacher Report.
When asked on the likelihood of Werner joining the Reds, Jones insisted that it will eventually happen, before adding that the striker is “desperate” to play in the Premier League and that Anfield is his “only real landing spot”.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans, who were quick to share their reactions to this latest development.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Timo Werner will join Liverpool.
He’s desperate to play in the Premier League and Liverpool have the lure of Jurgen Klopp.
If he’s to leave RB Leipzig, which is likely, Anfield is “his only real landing spot.” [@DeanJonesBR] pic.twitter.com/DYrj9jdCNm

Would Timo Werner be a regular starter for Liverpool?
Yes
No
The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form so far this year having scored 27 goals in 36 appearances for Leipzig (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been suggested that Werner will be heading to Anfield this summer, this has had Liverpool fans reacting to Jones’ admission.
Will join, IF he leaves in the same article. Either he will or he won’t. ?
