Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer rumour surrounding the club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally posted in an article by Tuttomercatoweb.
The article claimed that Liverpool are set to try and sign Dries Mertens on a free, with Jurgen Klopp eyeing a forward who can play down the middle and on the wing.
The article also added that the Belgian is yet to sign a new contract with Napoli and could be swayed by a move to Anfield on a three-year deal.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say on the matter.

Now that it has been reported that Liverpool are interested in bringing the 32-year-old to Anfield this summer, while there were some fans that were sceptical over the move, other Reds couldn’t contain their excitement.
