Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing former Reds winger Raheem Sterling.
This comes after Anfield Edition’s @LFC_Laurie shared a post on their page reminding their followers that Sterling ‘managed zero goals and zero assists in the Premier League in 2020’.
They also claimed that Sterling’s scuffle with Joe Gomez in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Manchester City earlier in the season ‘ended’ the winger.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say on the Englishman.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

Small man syndrome. Seen it plenty over the years in amateur football (I’m 6’4) and it’s never not funny.

Does it hurt seeing Sterling win so many trophies at Manchester City?
Yes
No
Since leaving Liverpool in 2015, Sterling has gone on to win two Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups, one Community Shield and one FA Cup (per Transfermarkt). This season has seen Sterling score 20 goals and provide seven assists in 39 appearances for City across all competitions (per Transfermarkt). Now that this post has been shared on Twitter about the winger, this has given lots of Liverpool fans the opportunity to discuss their former star.
So funny Joe just pushing him back with ease ??

I think he had a zero goal contribution after that incident in Liverpool FC vs Manchester City

What do we think?
This feels like Liverpool fans taking any opportunity they can to slate Sterling as they can’t deny the domestic success he has become accustomed to since leaving Anfield.
