Fans of Everton have been airing which players in world football that they would love to see Carlo Ancelotti’s side sign.
On Saturday, @TheGwladysSt posed the question to supporters over who they would like to see the Toffees sign, which had many fans talking.
?What player from a different club do you wish signed for Everton?
We’re excluding the obvious candidates like De Bruyne, Messi and Ronaldo.
Ours is Bernardo Silva, almost under the radar when thinking of Man City, massively important for them last season!#EFC pic.twitter.com/OonrXapde5

Not sure if it counts but I wish I could watch Deulofeu again every week

James Maddison. He’s my choice because he was a very realistic option at the time and, instead, we went all in on Gylfi. ?

Essien. Apparently we couldn’t afford 4 million for him before he signed for Chelsea a season or two later for 18 million.

If you could choose from one of these midfielders to sign for the Toffees, who would it be?James MaddisonRuben NevesBruno FernandesIdrissa Gana Gueye |
As can be seen in a couple of the responses, some supporters were keen on signing players that have either previously played for the club or been transfer linked in some way.
So, following the Twitter post from @TheGwladysSt, supporters continued to air who they would like to see signing on the dotted line at Goodison Park.
Probably won’t be popular but Gerrard ?

Love Bernardo Silva and he would be my choice but think Bruno Fernandes might be up there eventually.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses, there is not a general consensus of one player that most supporters would like to see arrive on Merseyside in the next transfer window.
However, what can be deduced is that a lot of the suggestions from supporters were central midfielders, so, perhaps that could suggest that the middle of the park is an area that many fans feel needs improvement.
