Fans of Everton have been slating West Ham United manager David Moyes after quotes from the Scotsman emerged on social media.
While appearing on beIN SPORTS’s Keys & Gray Show, as cited by the Liverpool Echo, the former Toffees manager admitted that he will “always look back and regret leaving Everton”, which left fans slating him (via Everton News Feed).
"I think I’ll always look back and regret leaving Everton because of the team and the players I had built at that time, but I’ll never be regretful for joining Manchester United or doing what I’ve done," – David Moyes pic.twitter.com/NtwAVvTQDW

He got sacked in 6 months and was humiliated. If course he regrets it.

He left, tried to take our better players. Have no fondness for the man. We’ve moved on and our better without him.

Would you ever want to see David Moyes managing the Toffees again?Yes, he's underratedNo, not good enough |
In the interview, the 56-year-old Scot went on to explain that his “regret” was because of “the team and the players” he had built and that he will “never be regretful for joining Manchester United”.
Moyes spent 11 years as Everton manager between 2002 and 2013, having joined from Preston North End and departing for the Red Devils (per Transfermarkt), however, fans did not appear to hold any fond memories of their former key figure.
Remember seeing him at a Bellew fight singing along to Z-Cars. He knew the score. Shame how he acted when he left.

What do we think?
While supporters were quick to knock Moyes, the 219 wins he recorded in 516 games are certainly not to be sniffed at and perhaps the Scotsman gets less credit than he deserves (per Transfermarkt).
However, these Toffees fans seem pretty set in their opinions of Moyes, with very few seeming to look back on his time as Everton manager favourably now.
