Some Everton fans have been reacting positively to a tweet that was recently posted by ex-Toffees player Bryan Oviedo, with some sharing appreciation for the Costa Rican’s winning goal at Old Trafford in December 2013.
Everton-focused Twitter account @EvertonNewsFeed recently posted a tweet reminiscing about the Toffees’ 1-0 win over Manchester United from six seasons ago – in which Oviedo scored the only goal of the game to give Everton their first win at Old Trafford in 21 years.
Oviedo himself responded to @EvertonNewsFeed’s recent post about his match-winning goal from that historic game. The 30-year-old replied with two blue hearts, indicating that he also retains fond memories of that game.
His post caught the attention of some Toffees supporters, who have taken the opportunity to praise Oveido. Read the responses of some Everton fans to Oviedo’s recent post in the tweets below.

What do we think?
Considering that he scored the only goal in what ultimately turned out to be a historic win for the Toffees, it may be understandable why Oviedo holds some positive memories of this fixture at Old Trafford and also why some Everton fans have been full of praise for the Costa Rican and his contributions in that game.
His winner at Old Trafford was one of just two goals that Oveido scored over the entirety of his time at Everton. It may be fair to say that the fact that he didn’t score too frequently for the Toffees may make his winner at Manchester United even more memorable for some.
