Of Jack Grealish and James Rodriguez, who would you rather see the Toffees sign?GrealishRodriguez |
The Toffees were linked with a move for Grealish on Thursday morning, with a report from Football Insider stating that the club was angling to make him a ‘headline summer signing’.
Meanwhile, a recent report from AS, as cited by Sport Witness, claimed that the Toffees are also planning to swoop for Real Madrid’s Colombian midfielder, leaving fans divided over who they would want.
If you have ever watched Grealish play he seems to have a problem staying on his feet always falling over.

Grealish cuts his jib in the premier league week in week out and has proven himself to be a playmaker and goal scorer exactly what we need – Rodriguez would be to much of a risk for me and is injury prone

If Grealish stuck with Ireland he’d barely get a shout out

What do we think?
When considering the pair’s stats from the season so far, it appears that Grealish would be the stronger option of the two as he slightly betters the Colombian’s stats.
In the Premier League this season, Grealish has made an average of 2.7 key passes, 39.8 total passes and has a passing success percentage of 84.4% per league game (per WhoScored).
All three of those stats are stronger than Rodriguez’s as the Real Madrid midfielder has made an average of 2.0 key passes, 33.0 total passes and has a passing success percentage of 82.3% per La Liga game (as per WhoScored).
