Supporters of Everton have been discussing the Toffees’ former striker Victor Anichebe after the club released footage of the Nigerian.
It was the forward’s 32nd birthday on Thursday, and to mark the occasion, the Toffees posted footage of a goal which he scored for the club (as per Everton). This had fans discussing the former striker.

Would you take a prime Victor Anichebe back at Goodison Park? No, was never good enoughYes, would add good depth |
The unattached striker was in the senior set-up at Goodison Park for seven years, having graduated from the academy in 2006 before leaving the Toffees for West Bromwich Albion in 2013 (per Transfermarkt).
Anichebe most recently played for Chinese outfit Beijing BSU, however, following his release in January 2018 has failed to find another club (per Transfermarkt). Fans had fond memories of the 32-year-old’s time at the club, though.

What do we think?
While with Everton, Anichebe made 168 appearances, during which he scored 26 goals and got 20 assists (per Transfermarkt), which is by no means prolific for a striker.
However, it seems from the responses that the Goodison Park faithful have a fairly positive opinion of the Nigerian, although some felt that his time in Merseyside was blighted by injuries – which is difficult to argue with after he missed 76 Everton games through injury (per Transfermarkt).
