Drenthe was situated at Goodison Park for the 2011/12 season, spending the term on loan with the Toffees from Real Madrid, however, was released by the La Liga club upon his return to Spain (per Transfermarkt).

With the 33-year-old now playing in the Dutch third tier with Kozakken Boys (per Transfermarkt), it is clear that Drenthe’s career has derailed somewhat since his days with Real Madrid and Everton.

As is obvious in the responses from the Goodison Park faithful, too, they believe that the player’s poor attitude led to his talents being wasted.
