Not sure he would suit a 4-4-2 system?

Would you be happy if the Toffees secured the services of Donny van de Beek?Yes, what a signing that would beNo, he's a little overrated for me |
Prior to the Eredivisie being cancelled last week (per BBC), Van de Beek had bagged an impressive eight goals and six assists in 23 league appearances (per Transfermarkt), which may explain some fans’ delight.
No thanks, move on.

Too risky. One bad game and Twitter will be full of “more like Donny on the beak”.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, they are divided over their interest in signing the 23-year-old midfielder with some perhaps drawing comparisons to Davy Klaassen, who scored zero and assisted one in 16 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt).
However, in the Eredivisie this season, Van de Beek earned a stellar 7.41/10 average rating (per WhoScored) which would easily make him the best-performing player for the Toffees in the Premier League with the same rating (per WhoScored).
Furthermore, per WhoScored, the Dutchman’s 1.8 key passes and 39.5 average passes per game, as well as an 82.2% passing success rate, far outweighs top Toffees performer Richarlison’s 1.2 key passes, 23.3 average passes and 66% passing success rate in the Premier League.
