Supporters of Everton have been left shocked by a post on social media from the Toffees with quotes on Jean Philippe-Gbamin.
On Monday, the club shared an interview with the Toffees’ physiotherapist Adam Newall in which he discussed the Ivorian midfielder and the progress he is making in returning from injury (per Everton), which had fans shocked.
? | “If we were back at Finch Farm this week, JP would be ready to build on his outside rehab with physios. He is working tirelessly to get back."
Jean-Philippe Gbamin's intensive rehabilitation programme means he is steadily closing in on a return to full training. #EFC ?

Will Jean-Philippe Gbamin be the best midfielder that the Toffees have when fit?Yes, he seems qualityNo, he's not that good |
The midfielder arrived at Goodison Park after the Toffees forked out £25 million to secure his arrival from FSV Mainz 05 (per BBC), however, he has made just two appearances for Everton since (per Transfermarkt).
A hamstring injury has kept the 24-year-old sidelined since late August (per Transfermarkt), which had some fans doubting the player’s existence.

What do we think?
While supporters were jovial about the impending return of the 24-year-old midfielder, a 6.76/10 average rating over the two games he featured before his injury suggests, he could be a good player (per WhoScored).
However, when the player makes his recovery from injury, hopefully, he will begin to repay the £25-million outlay that it took to seal his arrival at Goodison Park with his performances.
