A group of Crystal Palace supporters have been discussing some of the players who have been on loan at Selhurst Park in recent seasons. A post from @FYPFanzine on Twitter posed the following question: “If you could’ve signed one ex-loan player, to sign for Palace permanently, who would it have been?”
These Crystal Palace supporters were clear in wishing that the club were able to keep hold of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who played for the club during the 2017/18 season before eventually returning to Chelsea (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Would you have liked to have seen Loftus-Cheek stay at Palace?

Loftus-Cheek. Literally the Bloke has every attribute to me a top top Player. Within us he was a ball carrier, midfield presence alongside Luka & Cabaye, ridiculously good. 140 Characters doesn’t sum him up. Missing piece in a potential Midfield.

What do we think?
Injuries have been an issue for the England midfielder, who was working his way back to fitness after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon back in May last year. He’s yet to appear in the Premier League for Frank Lampard’s side this season but during his time at Selhurst Park, he made 25 appearances contributing two goals and five assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
