Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been discussing Trezeguet’s first season at Villa Park.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page asking their followers what they have made of the Egyptian’s debut season in the Premier League.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their assessments of Trezeguet so far this season.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
What have you made of him? #avfc #utv https://t.co/sSm6ft19Vn

Is Trezeguet good enough to play for Villa?
Yes
No
In his first season for Villa, Trezeguet, who is valued at £9 million (Transfermarkt), has scored just four goals and provided three assists in 31 appearances in all competitions (per Transfermarkt). His last goal for Dean Smith’s side saw Villa snatch a last-minute 2-1 win against Leicester City in the second leg semi-final clash in the Carabao Cup at Villa Park. Now that the question has been put to these Villa fans to summarise Trezeguet’s season so far, this gave lots of supporters the opportunity to share their predominantly negative views on the winger.
Despite his winner against Leicester for me he’s not quite there yet and I wonder wether on a consistent basis will he ever be

Not a PL player.

Pretty awful. No football intelligence, has some ability but very selfish. If we can get a decent price, get rid.

Not good enough

What do we think?
It’s a shame that these Villa fans don’t see Trezeguet as being good enough to play for the club. But his poor goals and assists record this season shows that he may not be up to scratch for a club trying to avoid relegation this season.
