Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been discussing Villa midfielder, Henri Lansbury.
This comes after Villa journalist Gregg Evans shared a post on his official Twitter page that contained a report on Lansbury for The Athletic.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the midfield man.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reposting to the post:
Understanding Henri Lansbury 'the full package'
– 'We used to call him Becks' – #ARSENALFC
– Car journeys with Rob Green and playing in goal! #WHUFC
– Flair, creativity and 'streaking' in training #NFFC
– The pranks, the smiles, the missed opps #AVFChttps://t.co/Mg3WIMOHF9— Gregg Evans (@greggevans40) April 14, 2020
He was Forests best player by miles, we signed him and then stopped him playing his natural game. Makes no sense.

He’s massively overpaid – that’s the problem & he’s treated his villa contract as an easy ride. Fair enough opportunities haven’t come his way – if he was killing it in training & u23 matches then the manager would’ve stuck him in – instead of splurging money on Danny Drinkevian

And the ops he hasn’t missed, of course

Has Henri Lansbury been good enough for Villa since joining?
Yes
No
The 29-year-old first joined the Birmingham club in the 2017 January transfer window from Nottingham Forest for a fee of £3.06 million (per Transfermarkt). This season has seen Lansbury make just 14 appearances for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions so far. Now that Evans has shared his report on the midfield man to Twitter, this has given lots of Villa fans the opportunity to have their say on the Englishman.
Get rid of him off the wage bill… Not needed UTV ??

Just hasn’t been hungry enough to nail down a place in the team since day one, has he? Content with training ground bantz + the occasional sub appearance. Shame, as he is technically gifted.

See so many things in Lansbury that I like, but there seems to be a lack of determination or a complacency that has stopped him making the impact he could of. #AVFC https://t.co/GFNfmwV0Lt

What do we think?
It seems as though Villa fans have some issues with Lansbury and the way he has carried himself since arriving at Villa Park. The fact that he has only made nine appearances in the Premier League for the club just goes to show that he is not a crucial figure in the squad.
