Some West Brom fans have recently taken to Twitter to share their appreciation for Jake Livermore’s performances for the Baggies this season.

The EFL released a statement on Friday the 13th of March announcing that professional football would be postponed in England “until 3 April at the earliest”. Following the postponement of English football, some West Brom fans have recently been reflecting on their season so far, on social media.

West Brom-focused Twitter account @WestBromNews recently posted a tweet calling on Baggies supporters to declare their player of the season, “if the season was to conclude today”.

Many West Brom supporters have been responding to this tweet to share praise for Baggies captain Jake Livermore’s performances this season, declaring him their choice for Baggies player of the season thus far. To kick off this quiz about the past week in the Championship, can you name which manager was announced as February's Championship Manager of the Month last week?

What do we think?

Livermore, who is valued at £6.3 million (Transfermarkt), has scored three goals and made three assists for the Baggies in the Championship this season, according to WhoScored.com, with the 30-year-old midfielder earning an average overall rating of 6.78 in the Championship so far for his performances during the 2019/20 campaign.

However, it may be fair to say that Livermore’s main contribution for West Brom this season has been his consistent presence within the Baggies’ starting 11. According to WhoScored.com, Livermore has started 36 of West Brom’s 37 Championship games so far this term. Only goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has started more games than Livermore this season for a West Brom side currently sitting in second place in the Championship table

It may be fair to declare Livermore one of West Brom’s most important players this season, considering the number of appearances that the 30-year-old has made for the Baggies in the Championship during the 2019/20 campaign.
