In the wake of all EFL games being postponed, Sunderland fans have found solace in looking back at highlights from seasons gone by.
When Kenwyne Jones posted a photo of himself in a Sunderland top, the Black Cats’ Twitter account shared footage of him scoring a cracking goal for the side before completing his trademark backflip celebration.
Fans responded to the club’s tweet, explaining that they had fond memories of the ‘Caribbean King’.
One fan admits the player was never the same after picking up an injury against England, while another praised the player for his eagerness to join the Black Cats.
The forward went on strike, forcing his move from Southampton to Sunderland back in the summer of 2007.

Could Kenwyne Jones play for Sunderland right now?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Jones’ goalscoring record for Sunderland was far from prolific. He only scored 28 goals in 101 appearances for the Black Cats.
In 2010, the striker departed the club, completing a move to Stoke City for £8.73 million.
However, it still appears that the Sunderland faithful hold Jones in good stature for his time at the club.
