Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Ross Wallace recently gave an interview to Open Goal in which he told a bizarre story about Carlos Carvalhal.
The 34-year-old, who now plays his football in Scotland for St Mirren, appeared to be mocking the Portuguese coach and his conduct has prompted Dom Howson of Yorkshire Live to brand his actions as ‘out of order’.
Did you find Wallace's comments to be disrespectful?
Yes
No
The piece, which was published on Monday night, detailed the journalist’s thoughts and he blasted Wallace for taking ‘a cheap shot’ after the 54-year-old played a huge role in resurrecting the player’s career.
Here is what some of the club’s supporters have made of the whole thing.
He speaks highly of the club, the fans and is gutted we didn’t get promoted. Calls the manager eccentric – hardly disrespectful – a lot of top managers are. Faux outrage.

Hardy a jibe. He was telling a funny story. That’s how these podcasts work with ex footballers. I reckon 11/11 would tell the same story. I Didn’t find it disrespectful at all.

Come at a time when Carlos was desperate to stop the rot with a bunch of players who clearly didn’t care as much as he did.

Just sounds like dressing room banter to me Dom

My take is this is both disappointing and disrespectful from an established pro…

Pathetic really. Shows a lack of respect.

Heard far far worse on the terraces about Carlos at that time, especially away at Derby.

What do we think?
Based on the replies, it seems most haven’t taken much of an issue with Wallace’s interview, although there were some supporters who backed Howson’s opinion.
The former Burnley player made 124 appearances for the Owls in which he scored 13 goals and provided 20 assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
