A lot of Sheffield Wednesday fans have reacted to an interview from their owner Dejphon Chansiri and particularly what role Amadeu Paixao has within the club.
Chansiri said that Paixao is his ‘personal adviser’ and a ‘valuable resource.’
Do you trust what Paixao is doing?
Yes
No
He also emphasised the fact that Paixao has a ‘lot of experience’ and ‘many, many contacts.’
Finally, Chansiri confirms that Paixao does not have the authority to sign players but merely ‘recommends’ them to whoever is the manager at the time.
However, this has not gone down well with these Wednesday fans who appear to have lost faith.
DC on Amadeu Paixao: "He is my personal adviser and part of our recruitment committee. He is a valuable resource for myself and our club has been in football for a long time, 25 years, and has a lot of experience and many, many contacts." #SWFC @LiveSwfc https://t.co/bXl8d5VzXz

What do we think?
Chansiri seems to confirm that Paixao is merely an advisor and the final say on all transfers is with the manager.
However, we think that whoever is in charge of recruitment at Sheffield Wednesday needs to take a look at themselves because the Owls are in 15th place eight points off the play-offs.
They signed seven new players last summer yet are nowhere near challenging for promotion.
