Rangers fell at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their round-of-16 UEFA Europa League tie against the in-form German outfit. While the Gers have an opportunity to complete their comeback next week in the second leg, Leverkusen’s three away goals make the task a difficult one.

Many fans were left frustrated with the performance of Steven Davis during the game. They claim that he is too negative with his play, passing the ball backwards more often than not. Other fans call him ‘finished’, with one supporter suggesting that it might be time for the player to retire at the end of the season.

Another fan is under the impression that Davis has been replaced by a much more ineffective version of himself. They want the old player back.

Despite making a critical clearance off the line, these fans were unhappy with Davis’ contribution over 90 minutes. Of his 41 passes, 18 were backward. They would like to see him limit his negative play. Sadly, however, many don’t think he has much hope for redemption.
