This week, Rangers fans were reminded of Sone Aluko after Rangers’ official Twitter account posted a quote from the player.
In the quote, Aluko explained how his teammates were determined to beat Celtic during their 3-2 win against the Hoops in 2012.
“We were so determined that we would not lose and I think the boys played the game of the season,” said Aluko (Rangers).
Gers fans praised the player’s determined attitude. When the tweet was posted, some fans even admitted that the current crop of players could learn a thing or two from the Nigerian international.
Wasn't with us for long enough, cracking player.

What do we think?
Aluko, who is now valued at £900k (as per Transfermarkt), left Rangers for Hull City on a free transfer the summer after he scored his infamous Old Firm goal.
He is currently playing with Reading in the English Championship but has featured for just 39 minutes in the league for the Royals.
In just 23 games for the Gers, Aluko scored an impressive 12 times, registering five assists along the way. It’s no wonder why these Rangers fans have such fond memories of the 31-year-old.
