This week, it was announced that Daniel Sturridge had terminated his contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor by mutual consent after the striker was handed a four-month ban from football yesterday.
The striker received the ban after breaching betting rules.
This news was shared to Rangers fans via True Blues Loyal on Twitter, with the insinuation that the Gers could attempt to bring the player to Ibrox. Sturridge, of course, played with Rangers manager Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.
However, many Gers supporters are unconvinced that a move for Sturridge would be a good one. They are worried that the striker would struggle to stay fit. Some like the idea, but don’t think he will join.
No for me

No thanks. Never fit and he looks for excuses never to play.

Not for me, would take a large salary for sitting on the physio table

Nah not for me. This won’t solve the issues we have at the minute or going forward.

If you can keep him fit he would be an asset to any team,we will probably need a striker in the summer when Alfie leaves.#RangersFC

Would you take Daniel Sturridge at Rangers?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Sturridge has faced an extensive catalogue of injuries throughout his career. These Gers fans have good reason to be sceptical of his fitness. But, with 118 goals in 328 career matches, Sturridge could be a lethal addition to Gerrard’s team.
