Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to Neil Redfearn’s tweet, in which the 54-year-old posted an image of a letter received from legendary Forest manager Brian Clough.

Redfearn, who began his career at Nottingham Forest, went on to play for 14 clubs over his 27-year footballing career, including Bolton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, Watford, Charlton and Wigan.

Following his retirement, the 54-year-old, who is currently the manager of Newcastle United’s u23 side, has managed Rotherham and Leeds United.

However, in a recent post on Twitter, Redfearn reflected on where it all began, showcasing a letter he received from legendary Nottingham Forest manager Brian Clough.

Although the midfielder never made an appearance for Forest’s first-team, fans of the club have reacted fondly to Redfearn’s post, with many stating that their late manager spotted a great talent.

What do we think?

Redfearn’s letter from the late Brian Clough will undoubtedly bring back fond memories of their legendary manager.

After taking over a Forest side who were sitting in the second division, within five years Clough won back to back European Cups with the club, an achievement which has awarded him the title of ‘the greatest manager of all’ amongst the Forest fans.
