Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest ticket office statement that the club recently posted on Twitter.
The ticket office announcement was posted on Wednesday, with the club confirming that their ticket office and superstore has been temporarily closed down because of a power issue. It went on to say that fans will be given an update when it will re-open, but the main building at Celtic Park remains unaffected.
Should Celtic sent their club staff home?
Yes, set an example
No, things aren't that worse
This post left many Celtic fans alarmed. Because it comes days after the club were promoting their season tickets for the next Premiership campaign. They were also angry that the staff were still being asked to work.
You mentioned something about season ticket renewals earlier…

Shut the shop, send staff home and keep paying them their full wages. Set an example, we can afford it.

Putting profit before safety and having staff in is not great.

Celtic had released an article earlier in the month, saying that the season ticket renewal deadline is 1st May 2020. The article offered a link to the fans to renew their season tickets.
What do we think?
The statement does go on to state that the closing-down is in no way related to the ongoing pandemic issue. And power issues are unforeseen and it is unfair to blame the club for that, even though the club had previously promoted season tickets for next season.
